Diversity Monitoring Information 

Diversity monitoring information – as a service provider to the public

The Trust is committed to ensuring that the way it provides services meets the needs of all sections of the community and that no group of people experiences any discriminatory difference in the service it receives, nor any barriers in accessing our services.

One of the ways we check is through the monitoring of service delivery to different categories of patient.  

This is one of the reasons why we need to gather information from patients about their age, disability, race and ethnicity, etc – where it is appropriate to do so.  

We use patients surveys, PALS (patient advice and liaison service) feedback and reports, complaints and other sources of information to check whether there is any evidence of barriers to inclusion for any of the protected groups (as defined in the Equality Act 2010). 

We also supplement this formal feedback via anecdotal information provided and collected at community consultation events (see separate page in these equality and diversity pages of the Trust’s website).  

 

Diversity monitoring information – as an employer

The Trust is committed to ensuring that the way it acts as an employer meets the needs of different sections of the community and that no group of people experience any difference in, for example, recruitment, progression and access to training.  We are committed to ensuring there are no barriers for people with different protected characteristics, and monitor rigorously to ensure this is the case.
