Foundation Trust Membership
You are warmly invited to join our register of Trust members, originally created when the Trust was working towards individual Foundation Trust status some years ago.
Whilst that did not go ahead, the Trust is now working with the existing Foundation Trust Hospitals of Basildon and Southend with the intention of merging in 2019 to form a new Foundation Trust. This will cover the geographical areas of all three existing Trusts.
This has renewed the importance of membership in the Mid- Essex area, and we are eager to recruit new members, representative of our diverse community in terms of age, gender, ethnicity and socio-economic background.
Members play a particularly important role in the democratic make-up of a Foundation Trust, being able to vote for and stand for election to a Council of Governors which influences decisions about proposed changes to services and future plans for the development of the Trust.
Members also help support the Trust by receiving regular information, requests for feedback and opportunities to meet with other members.
The Trust is eager to build up the membership to ensure this mutual benefit continues for the community served by the existing Mid-Essex Trust.
Your data will be used for the purposes of the Trust and the newly created Trust to keep you informed of developments, provide feedback, receive invitations and to take part in elections.
If you would like to join, please would you register your interest by e-mailing
in the first instance and we will contact you with an application form for return.
In due course our intention is to enable membership applications to be completed on-line.
We look forward to hearing from you.
