Hop aboard the Hopper

Hop aboard the Hopper

A free mini bus service helps patients and visitors get around the Broomfield Hospital site. The Broomfield ‘Hopper’ was launched in response to public feedback that indicated that because of the changes to the site layout some patients have a long journey to access the clinical services on site.

The ‘Broomfield Hopper’ bus service runs from 8.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday and will drop off and pick-up patients at various points around the site, including the mental health premises.

The 15 seater mini bus carries patients around the perimeter of the hospital grounds, stopping at four main designated bus stops, but also allowing patients to be dropped off elsewhere along the route, on request.

The ‘Hopper’ will run every 20 minutes, starting from the main bus stop outside the atrium of the new hospital wing.

Following the opening of the new hospital wing, bus services no longer travel around the site, making the journey to locations like the eye clinic and the diabetic centre that much harder to reach for our elderly and disabled patients.

Please Click Here to download the A5 flyer, giving times, information and a map of the route the bus will take.
