Local dignitaries take a look around new hospital site
The Mayor and Mayoress of Chelmsford paid a visit to see the new Private Finance Initiative (PFI) hospital wing at Broomfield last week.
Councillor and Mrs Sach were welcomed to the site by Graham Ramsay, Chief Executive of Mid Essex Hospitals and Bob Booker, Non Executive Director.
Councillor Sach said:” I have heard a lot about the new hospital building and the state of the art facilities that it will bring to mid Essex. I was pleased to have the opportunity to see for myself how the construction is progressing, it is very impressive. I look forward to visiting again next year when it is finished and receives its first patients.”
The Mayor and Mayoress spent over an hour touring the new hospital site to see for themselves the facilities that will be available when it opens to patients in October 2010.
Graham Ramsay, Chief Executive of Mid Essex Hospitals, said:” We are pleased that the Mayor and Mayoress took the time to visit the new hospital site. We are really excited about the project and are currently working very hard to ensure there is a smooth transition into the new facilities for both our patients and staff.”
