Your chance to come and find out more about health services in Mid Essex

Broomfield Hospital is throwing open its doors for people to come and find out more about some of the specialist services it offers in conjunction with Central Essex Community Services.

The next event to take place will concentrate on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and is open to anyone who has COPD, is a carer for a COPD patient or has an interest in the condition.

Graham Ramsay, Chief Executive of Mid Essex hospitals, said:” We hope that these events will appeal to a wide range of people, from those affected by the condition to carers and relatives. There will be talks from medical professionals about the condition and how to access our services.  It will be a great opportunity for people to find out more about some of the services provided in Mid Essex and for them to share their views.”

The COPD event will be led by Imelda Doherty, lead COPD specialist nurse for Central Essex Community Services, and will take place in the Medical Academic Unit at Broomfield Hospital on Thursday 11 March from 6.00 to 7.30 pm, refreshments will be provided.  Places are strictly on a first come first served basis, so if you are interested in attending please contact Rebecca Pascoe on (01245) 516595 or via e-mail: rebecca.pascoe@meht.nhs.uk.

A similar event concerning heart failure will take place on Wednesday 21 April from 6.00 to 7.30 pm.  For further information or to book your place please contact Rebecca.
