Glittering Night for Trust Staff

Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust paid a special tribute to its staff with the hosting of this year’s annual Long Service and Staff Awards.

The event was held on Monday 13th September at Broomfield Hospital in the Medical Academic Unit, and hosted by BBC Radio Essex presenter Ray Clarke. Long serving members of staff, award winners, family members and friends all joined together to celebrate outstanding service and achievement.

The seven members of staff honoured for their long service alone totalled over 200 year’s services to the NHS between them!

Sheila Salmon, Chairman, and Graham Ramsay, Chief Executive, joined Ray Clarke in presenting the prizes of wine, chocolates, flowers and vouchers to the award winners and the long servers. The awards were sponsored by nine local organisations.

Sheila Salmon said:

‘All our staff are as important as each other; it is the team work within the Trust that brings together the great care we give to our patients.

‘Whether it be for the many years of working for the NHS, or being recognised by colleagues as someone who goes that extra mile in the everyday work they do, the Trust is extremely proud to have such staff working for us and caring for our patients

‘Congratulations to them all, the winners, the long servers, nominees, families and friends.’
