The organisation's new strategy for the five year’s to 2016 has been launched
The strategy entitled “A clear way forward” has been developed through an extensive process of staff, public, partner and patient engagement and is designed to guide the trust over the next five years to develops services to meet the needs of the people we serve.
At the launch on Monday, chief executive Malcolm Stamp said that this new strategy places patients at the centre of everything we do and described the legal requirements that patients have in the NHS constitution and how we have a commitment to patients to comply with all aspects of the constitution and to excel in all of the commitments. He said that we need to improve our listening and learning and change the balance between the role of senior managers and what staff are empowered to do. He also talked about how the board is keen to build on the experiences of staff by improving the mechanisms for talking to, sharing with and listening to staff.
