Malcolm Stamp CBE is the new CEO at Mid Essex Hospital Service NHS Trust

Malcolm Stamp CBE has been appointed as the new permanent Chief Executive of Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust.

Malcolm said:” It is a privilege to be appointed as the Trust’s new Chief Executive.  This is a very exciting time for the Trust, especially following the opening of our new hospital and the journey towards becoming a Foundation Trust.  I am looking forward to continuing to work with all colleagues to build on the strengths of the organisation and take it forward over the coming years."

Malcolm has been the acting Chief Executive of Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust since January 2011 and replaced Professor Graham Ramsay, who resigned for personal reasons.

Professor Sheila Salmon, Trust Chairman said: “I would like to warmly congratulate Malcolm on his appointment. I am delighted that he has chosen to work in our organisation”.

“These are both exciting and challenging times ahead for the Trust, and I firmly believe that in Malcolm we have a strong leader, with many years of top level NHS leadership experience combined with an exemplary track record of service delivery, who can guide us and help the Trust towards Foundation Trust status, most importantly he cares passionately about patients and the people that we serve”.
