The Bereavement Project

Our Charity is currently fundraising to transform our bereavement service into a comfortable and private suite. A place where we can help to relieve some of the emotional distress caused by the loss of a loved one.

We have already raised over half of the £10,000 target and so now are asking the local community to help us reach the remaining target. With your help we can make our bereavement service the very best for those who have lost someone dear to them and at a time when they need it most.

The Dignity Project

We strongly believe that the Dignity Project provides an invaluable contribution to the wellbeing of our patients but also their self-worth and recovery.

Our Charity is fundraising to clothe our patients when they do not have any of their own to wear. We have patients arriving by blue light, some  patients have no family or friends so their clothes aren’t accessible and then there are those whom have to spend a prolonged period of time on the wards and they simply just do not have enough clothing for every day. This is an on-going project of which Our Charity continuously supports.

Wi-fi Project

Using Wi-fi to help our patients and their relatives stay connected when they need it most.

At Broomfield Hospital we acknowledge that we are situated in an area with relatively poor mobile phone signal; so Our Charity need YOUR help to fundraise for an exciting new project to keep our patients, their families and friends connected whilst with us.

We understand how important it is to be able to get in touch with family and friends, even work colleagues whether you’re a patient in hospital or visiting someone who is. So Our Charity has plans in place to set up free of charge patient Wi-Fi, accessible anywhere, anytime, because we believe that sometimes a simple message can be the most important form of communication in times of need.

Being in hospital can often be an isolating and daunting experience, especially when family and friends are far away; we recognise that, particularly in an age of increasing connectivity, the ability to talk to loved ones is invaluable so the funding of this project is extremely important to us.
