Radiology

The Radiology Department provides a high quality imaging service for the people of Mid Essex.

The main department is located at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, and provides a full range of imaging services including general radiology, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine.

Satellite departments are located at St Peter's Hospital in Maldon, and St Michaels Hospital in Braintree. The Breast Screening service is located at Broomfield Hospital.

Services 

The use of radiation (such as x-rays) or other imaging technologies (such as ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging) to diagnose or treat disease.  It provides a range of imaging services across the five hospital sites. It provides a range of imaging services at five hospitals.

Staff 

Radiology at MEHT is staffed by over 100 people including Consultant radiologists, Advanced Practice Radiographers, Radiographers, Imaging Assistants, Nurses and Administration staff.
