The Zones

A colour has been assigned to each of the 5 zones and feature at the entrance to each zone.

Find your Department Name and it’s Destination Number on the alphabetical list in the Ward guides on these pages and on the directory signs in the hospital.

Follow signs to your Zone and Destination Number. 

To locate the department or ward you require, you need to remember the following :

• Each Department Name has a unique Destination Number

• This number is made up of a letter followed by three digits

• The letter represents the Zone where the department is

• The first number represents the Zone floor level

• The letter and three digits make up the unique Destination Number
