We Really Value Your Opinion
Thanks to the FFT, all pregnant women using NHS maternity services now have a voice.
Every year, around 700,000 women use NHS maternity services. Now, for the first time, they are able to give valuable feedback, in almost real time, on their experiences.
Maternity FFT puts women’s views and experiences at the heart of their local NHS – a catalyst for change to ensure that services meet the requirements of pregnant women and new mothers.
Publishing the results of the FFT across all maternity services is the latest step in NHS England’s commitment to transparency. Taken alongside inpatients and A&E, the FFT is already the biggest ever collection of patient views. It is being rolled out to other parts of the NHS over the next two years.
We ask all patients on discharge the following question:
"How likely are you to recommend our service to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"
There are six options ranging from 'extremely likely' to 'extremely unlikely'. It is important that we know why patients have scored us accordingly so subsequent follow up questions are asked.

All feedback is confidential.
All scores are monitored closely by the Trust board and patient experience groups to ensure the Trust listens to all patient feedback.
