Here at Broomfield Hospital we are able to boast the only dedicated Clinical Research Facility (CRF) within the Essex County.
Our Research Centre is a space devoted entirely to NHS patients who are enrolled onto one of our research studies. The centre offers a clinical space for patients to attend research appointments with their doctors and nurses, receive all of their treatment/medications, whilst still offering a space for patients and their families/carers to relax.
We have a team of specialist nurses whose role it is to care for our research patients from the moment they set foot in the door until they finish the study. It is this level of care and commitment offered that ensures our patients receive such high quality, responsive care.
The CRF has been crucial to the success of some of our oncology and rheumatology studies. Our aim is for the centre to be used for clinical trials in all service areas.
