Learning and Development

Welcome to the Learning and Development Section of Mid Essex NHS Trust. Our organisation is committed to providing visible and strong leadership, development, and support for our staff.


As well as helping staff to acquire new skills, once here at Mid Essex, we also recognise the importance of sustaining skills and development. We have an approach to learning and development that recognises the importance of the mandatory provision, enabling you to work safely in your role, as well as the capacity for individual growth and life long learning.


Our Strategy for the next five years takes a considered and co-ordinated approach to learning and development to ensure that our staff are motivated and equipped with the talents and skills needed for the different ways of working ready for  Foundation Trust status.  It includes all staff groups working together, right across the organisation, to ensure that we are fit for purpose, and contributes to our desired status as Employer of Choice and crucial to achieving “Investor in People” accreditation
