You are here > About Us > Sustainability

Reducing our emissions and improving health for future generations is a priority for the Trust. By delivering a range of projects we are improving our hospital sites, reducing the energy we consume and waste produced and improving corporate citizenship.

A common healthcare definition is...

A sustainable health and care system works within the available economic, environmental and social resources, protecting and improving health now and for future generations.

We aim to achieve national targets and our vision of Making a Difference to Secure Our Future. Our Sustainable Development Management Plan (SDMP) lays out the methods for this end.
