A point of care tool to get you quickly to the evidence and recommendations on patient care and management. Access via the UpToDate Logo on the home page of the MEHT Intranet (no login required).
To register for home and app access you must be on an MEHT networked computer. Once registered you can access from home (www.uptodate.com) and / or download and access via the App.
UpToDate is also available to Basildon Hospital Staff.
BMJ Best Practice
BMJ Best Practice is an online point of care tool that gives healthcare professionals fast and easy access to the latest information when making diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Updated daily, it draws on the latest evidence-based research, guidelines and expert opinion to offer step-by-step guidance on diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and prevention
Login with your OpenAthens account, and then create a personal account for App access
To find articles from a range of journals you need to search a database such as CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health) and / or British Nursing Index. You may find Medline useful too (the main medical database).
