Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity

Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity logo

Working to support the newly formed Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, we are now one charity fundraising on behalf of Southend, Basildon and Thurrock and Mid Essex Hospitals. We look forward to keeping you updated on further activities across all three sites.

Whether you wish to support the Charity as a group, an individual hospital or a ward or department we will happily assist you.

With your help we can make a real difference to patients, their families and the amazing staff that treat them. Our aim is to improve the hospital environment, fund ground breaking research, support the development and training of hospital staff and provide state-of-the-art equipment.

Donations (updated 30 December 2020)

We have been overwhelmed with the incredible support we have received from members of the public and businesses locally and nationally throughout this year. However, given the second surge of COVID-19, we politely request that our supporters do not visit us on the hospital sites at this present time. Your safety, and that of our patients and staff, is our priority. Unfortunately, we will also be temporarily unable to accept donations of knitting or used items such as toys, books, gifts, or artwork etc.

However, we are able to accept new unused items such as bottles of water and ambient foods  by appointment only. We cannot accept any hot food items. All items will need to be quarantined for 72 hours before they are distributed to staff and used within the wellbeing hubs onsite.
